Viewing and Checking the motion of the engine, master rod and the auxiliary rods, making sure all runs smoothly and the pistons have been installed correctly after overhauling the engine. All piston must be fitted with the cut-away edge on the trailing side to assure they are clear to each other when the engine is revolving.

In order to get a better feel for the motion when rotating the engine, the spark plugs are not installed.
